How the Play Along Works

Play Along is designed for bass players who already understand basic walking bass lines and harmony and are ready to refine their musical language through real jazz standards. Study my bass lines, solos, and the harmonic and melodic concepts behind them to develop fluency, strengthen phrasing, and expand improvisational vocabulary.

Lessons are structured in three parts: 1) a complete improvised bass line and solo; 2) a detailed harmonic analysis lesson, and 3) a slow practice version. Each lesson follows this complete musical process. You first hear, then you examine the material bar by bar and finally, you practice the material with the slower take.
